Staff Needed for Field Hospital in Iraq

One of our ministry partners, Samaritan’s Purse, has an unprecedented opportunity and we want to share the need with you. Samaritan’s Purse is deploying an Emergency Trauma Field Hospital to northern Iraq to treat those injured as Mosul is liberated from ISIS. They have an urgent need to staff this hospital with Christian medical professionals over the next few months.

The most pressing needs are for general, trauma, and orthopedic surgeons; emergency physicians, anesthesiologists, nurse-anesthetists, OR nurses and technicians, and pharmacists, as well as staff nurses for pre-op and post-op care. Paramedics, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants with trauma and emergency experience would also be valued. Preferred candidates would have international medical experience.
Deployment will begin as early as January 1, 2016. They are looking for individuals who can serve a minimum of three weeks, with a preferred deployment of 30-60 days.

Mark A. Kuhl DMD leading “Dental Missions: What To Know Before You Go”

Our roster of speakers for the 2017 M3 Conference is comprised of skilled medical professionals, like Mark A. Kuhl, DMD, who invest their time and talents towards bettering lives all over the world.

Dr. Kuhl is a general dentist in full-time private practice in Florida.  He and his wife Pam, a registered nurse, consider the mission field a family calling. They are a remarkable example of a family that is helping other families by being the hands and feet of Jesus. They have led over 35 short term dental mission trips in 10 different countries over the past 30 years.  For the last eight years, their primary focus has been with Kenya Relief in Migori, Kenya. Dr. Kuhl will be leading a Breakout Session at the 2017 M3 Conference entitled, “Dental Missions: What to Know Before You Go.”

We are honored to have Dr. Mark Kuhl join us on February 17 and 18, 2017, at the M3 Conference.  We invite you to join us as well – come to connect with others, be inspired, and find your mission.

…I was sick and you visited Me…Assuredly, I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me. (Matthew 25:36-40 NKJV)

Woodlands Church: Serve to No End

Woodlands Church has a history of missions and will be joining us as a sponsor for the 2017 M3 Conference.

Returning this year as a sponsor to the M3 Conference is Woodlands Church, led by Pastor Kerry and Chris Shook. Pastor Kerry and his wife founded the church with the vision to “eliminate the barriers of boredom, unfriendliness and fear that keeps people from experiencing a relationship with Jesus Christ.” To them, people are of the utmost importance in the Kingdom, so it’s no coincidence that their church would be sponsoring the M3 Conference for the second year in a row.

Chris serves as the Director of Missions and Women’s Ministry at the church, having experience in missions work with under-resourced people both locally and in numerous countries around the world.

Woodlands Church is engaged in ongoing efforts to impact communities in Houston, TX in tangible, sustainable ways. They creatively use every means available to create relationships in order to impact the community in a necessary way and to share the hope of Christ.

Globally, Woodlands Church partners with indigenous leaders to complete projects and mobilize men and women from all walks of life to create sustainable change. The church sends missionaries to Haiti, Honduras, India, Kenya, Dominican Republic, and Sweden to share Christ by being his representatives in those countries.

This year at M3, Woodlands Church will bring back the WC Trading Company, a shop filled with handmade gifts, jewelry, home decor, art, textiles and personal accessories representing the diverse cultures of artisans in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and many more. With every purchase made, financial margin is created in each participating family, providing consistent nutritious diet, which supports better health, funds to send children to school and expansion of micro businesses. The church makes sure to work with local churches to create lasting relationships that fuel lasting change in the lives of the people in those regions.

Join the Woodlands Church and many more sponsors, speakers, and exhibitors at the 2017 M3 Conference, February 17-18, 2017 at Lakewood Church in Houston, TX!
