Speaker Session 01 (including Q&A’s)
Topic: Developing Resilience for a Missions Calling – A Story of God’s Redeeming Grace
Topic Description: Medical care personnel are driven by a high level of compassion for those who suffer physically and emotionally. The intensity of medical missions can strain compassion to a breaking point. You will hear a story of how one caregiver found God’s grace to be the ultimate power for coping with pain and building deeper resilience for future serving.
Topic: From Disaster to Durability
Topic Description: Disasters, epidemics, and public health crises continue to burden this new century: Puerto Rico’s Hurricane Maria, Yemen’s cholera epidemic, Flint Michigan’s lead poisoning. The heartening response from many is to devote personal time, talent, and treasures to rescue and assist to those in crisis. But even well-intentioned efforts have limitations. We must move beyond a rescue mentality and pursue those interventions that build more resilient communities. These interventions often include economic development, improved basic education, and highly efficient health initiatives. Throughout, we must equip local leaders with vision and skills to continue building strength from within their own communities.

Speaker Session 02 (including Q&A’s)
Topic: A Family in a Foreign Land
Topic Description: How God took us from “Why?” to “Why not?” and how He allowed our family to thrive and not just survive in the jungles of Gabon, Africa.
Topic Description: Bob will discuss how to live Undistracted in your calling and purpose. He’ll encourage folks to recognize the distractions in their lives that are hindering them from living out their vision with joy and meaning.
