This weekend on March 8th and 9th, M3 and Dr. Paul Osteen will be at the 7th annual Houston Global Health Collaborative Conference at Houston Methodist in Houston, Texas. Dr. Paul is honored to be the conference keynote speaker on Saturday afternoon, and M3 will be hosting a table in the conference exhibit hall. New to M3 This Year is The Mission
M3 is pleased to welcome The Mission as an exhibitor and sponsor to our 2019 conference. 
The Mission exists out of an act of obedience and a step of faith. In 1986, Steve and Cathy Horner said YES when God asked them to go to Mexico and take care of abused and abandoned children. They moved from the San Francisco Bay area to Tijuana to build an orphanage. An orphanage that would redefine family and love for abandoned children. In 1987 the Mission was founded out of a desire to change a nation one child at a time. Over the next 21 years, the Horners built and founded an orphanage, as well as a family care program, elementary schools, a Bible college, and 19 churches, all in their beloved country of Mexico. The Mission has projects in Mexico, Nicaragua, and Romania.
In 2008, the ministry’s baton was passed to Steve and Cathy’s oldest son Jimmy and his wife Genea, with the intention that they would take what was begun and run with it even further. Jimmy and Genea Horner have been leading the ministry ever since. The two had been serving the Mission for their entire adult lives. What a testimony of faithfulness and legacy.

M3 Welcomes Dr. Anne Alaniz, Pothawira and Houston Methodist Hospital
M3 is so pleased to welcome Dr. Anne Alaniz to the conference as a speaker. Dr. Alaniz is a Gynecologic Oncologist who has been working for Houston Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas, since 2012. She is also the Co-Founder of Pothawira (Safe Haven) Christian Mission Organization in her home village around Salima, Malawi. Pothawira was founded in 2009 and has been in full operation since 2011. Pothawira has an outpatient clinic that sees over 5000 patients a month and will soon open a birthing center which will provide a safe facility for childbirth with skilled medical personnel to continue to combat the high rates of maternal and neonatal deaths in Malawi. In addition, Pothawira is home to 126 orphaned children with 12 widows who care for them. Pothawira provides a Christian centered education for the children in the orphanage, as well as over 300 children from the surrounding villages who wouldn’t have access to a good education. She truly believes that the future of developing countries, like Malawi, lies in the hands of their people. Developing countries are made up of entrepreneurs, visionaries, and innovative leaders who, if given equity and social justice, have the capacity to be part of developing the economic futures of their country. This is what drives Dr. Alaniz to continue to find ways to empower and provide opportunities for children, women, and men, who like her, if given the opportunity, have the capacity to be part of the change they want to see in Malawi.
