Willy Bustinza, D.O.

Dr. Willy Bustinza was born in Peru in the 1980’s in a region torn by terrorism and poverty. Willy’s parents founded a small church in the Andes mountains and taught him to have faith “like a mustard seed” and to expect great things from God. Willy attended seminary in Peru then traveled to the United States to pursue a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He subsequently earned his medical degree and completed his residency in general surgery at Oklahoma State University.

Willy and his wife Jessee (a pediatrician) served in Mexico at Hospital Misión Tarahumara for three years where Willy worked as a general surgeon and was chief of medical staff. Hospital Misión Tarahumara is a mission hospital located in the remote Sierra Madre serving the native Tarahumara people. The Tarahumara are a community of approximately 100,000 who are virtually unreached by the Gospel. The Bustinzas are passionate about discipleship in missions and equipping national healthcare workers with the tools to impact their own communities.
