Alexander Philip, MD
Dr. Alexander Philip serves as Director of the New India Evangelistic Association, a multi-faceted national ministry of Bible Training, Bible Translation, Medical Services and Child Care Initiatives. With close to 800 field staff serving in over 15 fifteen states of India and neighboring South Asian countries, the Gospel impact of the ministry touches thousands of lives daily. Dr. Alex received his medical training at Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana, Punjab, focusing on Internal Medicine and Community Medicine.
He lives in rural Bihar, North India, an area considered at one time the most impoverished part of the nation and home to 100 million people. Laly, his wife, an educator, serves over 850 children through one of NIEA’s Schools, bringing them affordable and quality education that transforms. She also provides care and support to the dozens of missional families serving in Bihar through NIEA. Joanna (21) is finishing a College Graduate program in English this year, and Christina (18) lives with her parents in Bihar – both children love the Lord and His work.
Along with other transformational initiatives out of Bihar, NIEA’s recent hospital & nursing school projects at the Christian Medical Centre & Hospital, where Dr Alex serves as Director, endeavor to improve public health through better Patient facilities, Nursing Education and Community outreaches.
