Allan T. Sawyer
Dr. Allan Sawyer is an Ob/Gyn who has a long-term commitment to short term missions. He spends about 18 weeks per year serving with Samaritan’s Purse (World Medical Mission) at various mission hospitals around the world, including Papua New Guinea, Kenya, Togo, Cameroon, and Zambia. He also serves with Operation Heal Our Patriots in Port Alsworth, Alaska.
Semi-retired after 24 years of private practice, Dr. Sawyer has been married to his wife Teresa for 35 years and has four children, two of whom were adopted from China. Dr. Sawyer is also a member of the Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) and is a Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (RRT) chaplain. In addition to his medical degree, he holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies and is currently working toward a Doctorate of Ministry.
