Sasha Thew, BSN, MPH

Sasha Thew is currently the Emergency Medical Response Specialist for Samaritan’s Purse, focusing on creating and managing complex Emergency Field Hospital Designs and Clinical Capacity. She is an experienced ICU nurse and has worked in the humanitarian and disaster response since 2016. Some of Sasha’s experiences include the 2018 Rohingya Crisis in Bangladesh, the Ebola outbreak in the DRC in 2019, Emergency Field Hospital support following Hurricane Dorian in 2019, Emergency Field Hospital Support in Italy in 2020, Program Management of various mobile medical units in Tigray, Ethiopia in 2021, Management of Primary Medical care of Refugees during the evacuation of Afghanistan in 2021 and Management of Emergency Medical Programs in Ukraine beginning in March of 2022. Sasha holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s in Public Health, Global Health.
