“The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.”

Nurse and long-term missionary serving with Mission of Hope Haiti

“…I heard about the M3 Mobilizing Medical Missions Conference.  I immediately cleared my schedule and made plans to go.  It was a two day event, and the first day I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be.  Listening to these missionaries share their story and speak about their journey was all the confirmation I needed…”

“…(I) attended the M3 Conference with the goal to get as much information as possible in the area of medical missions…the speakers’ testimonies inspired and informed (me), and it gave (me) confirmation that (we) were on the right track…(My) biggest piece of advice to any new attendees at the 2018 M3 Conference would be to come with an open heart, an open mind, and an expectation to hear from God…”

M3 Conference Attendee

“…I didn’t go to the conference with an agenda, I just knew that God had sent me to Houston. I signed up for a breakout session titled, ‘No Boundaries to Love: The Perfect Place to Start Your Medical/Surgical Mission’, because it sounded interesting…I left Houston with a lot of information and went home and prayed…On Jan. 19th I will arrive in Nairobi…”

“The M3 Conference has opened my eyes to a better world; to a world of healers, justice seekers and the people of God and what they are actually doing, as so many of the faith based organizations are doing. I have been totally inspired as well as my faith in humanity been lifted high. The stories from the speakers at the M3 Conference have inspired me to seek “my” way to be the hands and feet of Jesus on a daily basis.”

“I attended the M3 conference because of my desire to do medical missions. While at the conference, God solidified the passion and call in my life to go into every person’s world using medicine. By connecting with professionals and other veterans in the field of medicine, I gained greater insight about the reality of what this calling would entail, specifically how to balance a family while being a full time missionary. Hearing from Paul Osteen, Bob Goff, and Russ White, I attained valuable perspective about the life of a medical missionary. I look forward to attending the conference again in the years to come.”

Question:

What do you think is the importance of M3?

Answer
Above all, it is a catalyst for connecting people who have a heart to serve with the opportunities that are available, which are endless. What makes this aspect of the conference so important to me is that there was a time that I was not aware that all of these opportunities and resources existed.  M3 has over 70 organizations represented in the Exhibit Hall area where conference goers can get connected, be inspired, and find their mission – just like the conference tagline says. “Going to the M3 conference gave me hope… I seemed to be surrounded by nurses, doctors and people who could not wait to serve!! They were fueled by passion and that passion was almost tangible everywhere I went during the conference and with each person I spoke to. It was exhilarating and inspiring! If you’ve ever wondered “Can it really be done?”  If you’ve ever thought “But there’s so much need and so much to do!”  Hear what the people who come to the M3 conference have to say about that. Share YOUR stories of hope and love and passion for the work you do with the people you will meet there. It’s an atmosphere of hope in the future, and new ideas are exchanged with virtually every single person you encounter. You’ll be both grounded and forever changed.”
